Our ethos is not only to offer refined and flavoursome South Indian cooking with imagination, but also to infuse it with organic ,healthy and free range ingredient wherever possible.
South India is known worldwide for trading its spices, such as curry leaves ,tamarind, cardamom, ginger turmeric and black pepper. At Cafe Madras we invite you to experience a taste of South India’s many villages’ traditions. Incorporated in our food is a constant reminder of all South Indian traditions, for example Idli, sambar, chutney, Dosa, Vada and Bisi Bella Bath.

Our Master Chef, Saravanan started his career in The Sheraton India after working in a well-known South Indian restaurant called Dakshin, where the former American president Bill Clinton and other top celebrities were patrons. He holds a qualified Degree in Catering & Hotel Management.
After working for a few years in India, Saravanan decided to expand his culinary skills and come to the UK with his ultimate objective to promote the delights of South Indian cuisine. He worked for Hilton Hotels for many years gaining an insight into European cuisine and dining values.
This mixed exposure has given him hands on experience and excellent knowledge in South Indian and European cuisine, allowing him to develop the perfect offering at Café Madras London.
